Lifeisgreat-scarlet: April 2008
http://lifeisgreat-scarlet.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Tuesday, April 8, 2008. Kenneth Branagh vs. Mary Shelley. Branagh definitly takes a lot of liberties with the storyline on many levels. It is understandable that it is completely impossible to condense a book into a two maybe three hours, but I do believe the highlights of the book being portrayed should be included and not twisted into a new version. The only truth in the movie was Victor's madnass with restoring life from dead body parts. The movie should have been titled Kenneth Branagh's Frankenstein .

Talking Mushrooms Make Sense: Kenneth Branagh vs Mary Shelley

Talking Mushrooms Make Sense. Tuesday, April 8, 2008. Kenneth Branagh vs Mary Shelley. The thing you have to remember with movies is that the more intense the scene, the better the movie sells. That is what filmmakers think about. Also, very few movies put humanity in a bad light, so the scene with Walton and the creature would be a complete anomaly if Walton didn't show sympathy. Punk rock english student. Tuesday, April 8, 2008. You have to take into account that if they did follow the whole reason why Victor created a sentient being and not have Waldman get him interested, the movie would spend too much time on his childhood and the rest of the movie wouldn't get the attention it needs.
