Lit and Laundry: Finished for Friday: Santa Needlepoint Pillow
http://www.litandlaundry.com/2015/12/finished-for-friday-santa-needlepoint.html
Friday, December 11, 2015. Finished for Friday: Santa Needlepoint Pillow. I finished this pillow earlier this year and have been waiting until December to share it. It's from a vintage needlepoint kit and it was a joy to stitch. I've always joked that Santa looks best with his green mittens. I don't know why I find that look so appealing to me. A lot of vintage pictures and figurines of Santa show him with green mittens. Here are my winking salt and pepper shakers:. Friday, December 11, 2015. Subscribe t...

Lit and Laundry: My Stars and Stripes Quilt
http://www.litandlaundry.com/2008/07/my-stars-and-stripes-quilt.html
Friday, July 4, 2008. My Stars and Stripes Quilt. This is my favorite quilt. I got the pattern online after September 11. I'm sorry to say I can't remember which designer posted it. A lot of quilt designers put up free patterns in the weeks following 9/11 to help people like me pursue our favorite form of therapy. I've been getting so many hits on this page that I spent some hours tracking down the designer. You can find the pattern for this quilt in this book by Judy Martin:. Friday, July 04, 2008.

Friday, January 8, 2016. Farewell to Lit and Laundry. I am starting an adventure at a new blog. My life has turned a corner in the past few months and the era represented by this blog has ended. The title of the blog reflects the hope I have of celebrating my own journey, which is symbolized for me by my favorite color. Once I had 3 child...

Lit and Laundry: Happy Birthday Drama Girl!
http://www.litandlaundry.com/2008/08/happy-birthday-drama-girl.html
Monday, August 11, 2008. Happy Birthday Drama Girl! Today my oldest child is 12. Her life is an interesting journey. She was the long wished-for baby after miscarriages. The one for whom I spent hours researching pregnancy and baby-tending. The one who decided to be born early after I decided to have garlic-jalapeno pizza for dinner. The oldest gets to be the trailblazer in the family. The first to go to school, the first to have sleepovers, the first to get a cell phone. So happy birthday Drama Girl!

http://www.appleblossomdreams.com/2013/02/441-challenged.html
Monday, February 25, 2013. Remember that challenge I threw out there from this post. I challenged anyone to beat my time making a rose. Lickity-split an adorable and talented young lady took me up on the challenge. Here is a picture of the rather bedraggled-looking rose from my best time. I closed up the center hole after I had stopped timing myself so it would look better for the picture. Claire (The Cogaroo) ". I'm not sure anyone can beat her time! A package full of surprises will be. Ok Astri, I have...
