A Catholic with Cancer. Finding Christ in the Diagnosis. Integrative Medicine is Religion. The average cancer patient can be overwhelmed with the variety of Alternative Medicine options. I've posted some Youtube videos that will provide a basic overview of the field. Here's an explanation about "Complementary and Alternative Medicine" (also know as CAM). A Catholic with Cancer: Emotional Issues
http://catholicwithcancer.blogspot.com/p/emotional-issues.html
A Catholic with Cancer. Finding Christ in the Diagnosis. Integrative Medicine is Religion. However, I do think it's important to be aware of a couple important facts that I've learned along the way. So, I will share them. The Cancer itself as well as treatment can impact the emotions. The NCCN has an excellent article about mood changes. It stresses the importance of discussing these issues with your doctor to determine the best course of action. There are different stages of emotional distress. It's a f...
A Catholic with Cancer: I'm Back Again
http://catholicwithcancer.blogspot.com/2016/10/im-back-again.html
A Catholic with Cancer. Finding Christ in the Diagnosis. Integrative Medicine is Religion. Monday, October 10, 2016. However, I did gain something from the experience. I suddenly realized that I'm not as helpless as I thought and I even conquered my fear of flying. Flew across country to the West Coast on a minutes notice at 3AM. Slept on the floor of my son's apt for 6 weeks (an efficiency). Drove through rush hour traffic in downtown Portland Oregon (google maps can't even handle it). I am a practicing...
A Catholic with Cancer: I'm Not Alone
http://catholicwithcancer.blogspot.com/2016/10/im-not-alone.html
A Catholic with Cancer. Finding Christ in the Diagnosis. Integrative Medicine is Religion. Monday, October 17, 2016. I just read a post over at the blog, Science Based Medicine. Online information about alternative medicine is overwhelmingly creduolous and uncritical, and even mainstream media and some medical schools have bought into the hype and failed to ask the hard questions. We provide a much needed "alternative" perspective- -the scientific perspective. Many people will forgo traditional treatment...
A Catholic with Cancer: I Believe
http://catholicwithcancer.blogspot.com/2016/11/be-born-in-me.html
A Catholic with Cancer. Finding Christ in the Diagnosis. Integrative Medicine is Religion. Saturday, November 5, 2016. I'm also dealing with a new medication change. I won't get into the boring details of how or why but right now my joints are aching (a side effect) and I can't wait to get to the five year mark and be done with all of this. So I surrender God. I Believe there's a purpose to my life! Here's a music video that I think sums it all up nicely:. Institute for Catholic Culture.

Catholic Wisdom « The Perennial Wisdom of the City of God
The Perennial Wisdom of the City of God. The City of God and the City of Man. I n the Preface to St. Augustine’s classic work,. The City of God. The great Saint and Doctor of the Church lays down the purpose of his magistral work. The Preface itself is rich in its depth of meaning, and worthy of being read over slowly and pondered.
