Snippet Saturday… | Jodie Griffin, romance writer
http://jodiegriffin.com/2014/05/snippet-saturday
May 31, 2014. I’ve been working on a new story featuring Jason, a Dom (of course! And Abby (his potential sub) but as I’ve been writing it, I ran into a scene with Master Silas. He’s a character who, much like Master Gabriel, will run through this series of books. I thought I’d share with you a snippet of the kind of man, and Dom, he is. There is no such thing as ‘. For some subs, words cause more damage than cane strikes. I hope you enjoyed this little sneak peek into my writing project…. Forbidden Fore...

Sierra Donovan: April 2015

Wednesday, April 15, 2015. HAPPILY EVER AFTER . OR NOT? As I believe I've mentioned, I'm in the business of helping characters live happily ever after. But I've got to admit, some of my favorite stories – even my favorite love. Stories – don't always meet that criteria. Sometimes a tragic or poignant ending is just what's needed. When you start with Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn, it would be hard to go wrong. And the writers don't go wrong. They even have the guts to resist working out an unlik...Label...

Words from the Edge of Insanity: July 2008
http://amyjandrey.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Words from the Edge of Insanity. Tuesday, July 29, 2008. Usually it's Sharron who is a stickler with Customer Service, but today, it's my turn to rant. Pinnacle Security - DO NOT USE THEM. Help is on the way" like in the corny commercial, but some part of me is afraid I'd become dinner before the police would actually show up (unless they happen to already be at the neighbors.which is entirely possible since they are there almost daily.but I digress). In January of 2008! Friday, July 25, 2008. Well, some...

Words from the Edge of Insanity: April 2008
http://amyjandrey.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Words from the Edge of Insanity. Monday, April 21, 2008. We were having a discussion the other day at work about the show Seinfeld and it struck me that we have a very Seinfeldian (is that a word? Situation at work. Don't think it was one they touched on in the gazillion years the show ran, but since I don't remember each of show in their run, I could be wrong. Warning: the rest of this post will dissolve quickly into bathroom humor.literally. Where is that spaz Kramer when I need him?

Sierra Donovan: Love: The Prime Motivator
http://sierradonovan.blogspot.com/2014/09/love-prime-motivator.html
Thursday, September 11, 2014. Love: The Prime Motivator. 8220; Oh, I don’t care much for romance.”. Those are words that romance writers – and readers – often hear. The funny thing is, it’s hard to find a good story without it. Last night my husband and I watched a classic ghost story, “The Uninvited.” A man and his sister move into a haunted house. Sort of an unusual domestic arrangement. Why are they brother and sister? I don’t think so. What about action films? The leading man in “Double Indemni...

Sierra Donovan: First Tree of Fall
http://sierradonovan.blogspot.com/2010/09/first-tree-of-fall.html
Thursday, September 23, 2010. First Tree of Fall. I hereby pronounce this Victorville's first tree of fall . in my neighborhood, at least. Fall gets off to a slow start here in Southern California, maybe even more so in the High Desert. A few days ago, this little tree was aflame with red and orange leaves. Unfortunately, the wind got to it before me and my camera. But as you can see in the next photo, the trees stretching off behind it are all still fully engulfed in green. View my complete profile.

Sierra Donovan: December 2013

Wednesday, December 25, 2013. 365 Days Till Christmas. I will honor Christmas in my heart. And try to keep it all the year.". Ebenezer Scrooge, Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. I've heard those words, or some slight variation of them, at least seven times this Christmas season. There's a reason the story is so addictive and so re-watchable. As many times as I've seen it, I always come away a bit inspired, vowing to apply more of the lessons it teaches to my own life. It's a stirring message. It's ...

Sierra Donovan: July 2009
http://sierradonovan.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 19, 2009. It ended about two weeks ago, at least as far as most stores are concerned. Time to blow out those needless bathing suits, beach towels and flip-flops. Never mind the fact that here in the High Desert, we're in the midst of the year's first full-blown heat wave. 109 degrees? Must be a figment of our imagination. I know, it's a well-worn rant. Still, why is it that stores can only stand to have current seasonal merchandise for about two weeks before they usher in the next season?

Friday, July 18, 2014. Weird Al, We Salute You! Champions of good spelling, grammar and punctuation have a new hero: Weird Al Yankovic. At the risk of making Weird Al cringe: Who’da thunk it?
