The girl’s new… Handlebars or how to change handlebars and wrap bar tape – cbertram.triathlon
https://cbertramtriathlon.wordpress.com/2014/03/13/the-girls-new-handlebars-or-how-to-change-handlebars-and-wrap-bar-tape
The girl’s new… Handlebars or how to change handlebars and wrap bar tape. Date: March 13, 2014. Following my bike fit with Speedhub at TFN, I followed Tim’s advice and got myself some new handlebars. Shiny carbon ones. Oh, the excitement when they finally arrived! Finally at home, I set out to swap the bars over and give it some new handlebar tape. Many said that would be the trickier part. So what does a girl do first when it comes to DIY and new kit? Yes, think and improvise (at least I do). Once that ...
Product Review: Prowell R66 vs Prowell F-55R Phoenix R – cbertram.triathlon
https://cbertramtriathlon.wordpress.com/2013/10/21/product-review-prowell-r66-vs-prowell-f-55r-phoenix-r
Product Review: Prowell R66 vs Prowell F-55R Phoenix R. Date: October 21, 2013. A word up front: I love Prowell helmets. That’s a big L-O-V-E. And that’s since I had my first one an F44-R Raden. That one I forgot on the train to Victoria when I went for my volunteer training in Hyde Park for the Olympics. The excitement was too great. When I got home, I went straight online and got a Phoenix. The red-white-black one) and was extremely excited at the prospect of trying the R66. The fit of the helmets can ...
The race that never was – cbertram.triathlon
https://cbertramtriathlon.wordpress.com/2016/05/03/the-race-that-never-was
The race that never was. Date: May 3, 2016. I was pumped: Race 2 of the Midland Women’s Time Trial Series. Was here. It was on the course where I had set my PB and judging from last week’s effort, I figured a new PB was on the cards. In an effort to avoid another time penalty. For missing my start time, I set off with plenty of time to spare. With 10 min to spare to my start and the hail still pelting down, I went to check whether the start was postponed. Male racers were returning, drenched to the s...
Opening the TT season is never straightforward – cbertram.triathlon
https://cbertramtriathlon.wordpress.com/2016/04/26/opening-the-tt-season-is-never-straightforward
Opening the TT season is never straightforward. Date: April 26, 2016. I sat in the car. The radio played Road to Nowhere. That’s exactly where I was going. Nowhere. Fast. I watched the minutes evaporate. The 60 min I had left as a pre-race buffer to sort myself out and warm-up vanished, painfully slow, and I still had 20 miles to drive to the first race of the Women’s Midlands Time Trial. Series in Bidford. Was it actually worth bothering? On (and put a hole in them in the process), my Prowell helmet.

I like my food and occasionally I bring out my domestic goddess and get baking. I have mentioned a few of the things I made on various social media and been asked for recipes. So here is a slowly growing collection of yummy treats to enjoy At Home. Or On the Go. A warning in advance: I don’t subscribe to a particular diet. I believe that as long as it is in moderation, the occasional fry-up won’t kill you. The operative words being moderation. Vegan and gluten free Peanutbutter Cookies. View christine...

Blogging about running and triathlons and everything inbetween! Getting ready – plans for 2015. March 1, 2015. Watching Top Gear tonight and their trip to Canada made me reminisce about my trip to Edmonton last year and also reminded me that I hadn’t written anything here for a couple of months. As my race number for the MK half. Dropped through the door this week it seems quite timely to update what is going on in my world. Anyway, after the MK Winter Half. And it’s already working wonders. https://missrunningbean.wordpress.com/2015/06/19/boobs-look-after-them
The journey to 26.2 and beyond. June 19, 2015. October 10, 2015. Right Time for a sensible and hopefully helpful post. Fellas, this one isn’t for you. Unless you have boobs. Or like boobs. In fact no. It’s not for you. After a chat with Christine Bertram over on The Twitter, I feel compelled to write about the benefits of having a properly fitted sports bra. Did I make that clear? So Some science. In our boobs, we have things called Cooper’s Ligaments. For a long time it was believed that running or R...
Do Rabbits Have Nipples? | RunningBean
https://missrunningbean.wordpress.com/2015/08/04/do-rabbits-have-nipples
The journey to 26.2 and beyond. Do Rabbits Have Nipples? August 4, 2015. August 4, 2015. Today I completed my last long ride before Aberfeldy and now I can officially say I’m tapering. I’m sure I’ll be going nuts by the weekend but I can honestly say I’ve never been happier to relax a bit and cut down on training. Nothing. Not a thing. I wouldn’t. That’s how. I mean, what does anyone look at when they’re not in conversation with a real human? I flew home from London last night and today is my last day of...
