A project of the CBSR. CCILA en Español. Phase One of CCILA is complete. The current file was created by keying and importing select important printed bibliographies and library catalogs. The initial file includes approximately 60,000 entries and holdings from nearly 500 libraries. Phase Two, when funded, will expand the base file by matching to it records contributed from library online catalogs throughout the world and entries from keyed minor printed bibliographies. A project of the CBSR. The California Newspaper Project is an 18 year effort by the CBSR to identify, describe and preserve California newspapers. Close to 9,000 California newspapers were inventoried in over 1,400 repositories throughout the state, 1.5 million pages of California newspapers were preserved and made available on microfilm, and 100,000 rolls of negative microfilm rolls are being processed for permanent storage at the UC Regional Library Storage Facilities.
