Sunday, August 31, 2008. CERT Assistance - Red Cross Shelter. With the track of Hurricane Gustav still pushing over the gulf states, operations have started at The Red Cross. We are preparing for clients to arrive from the affected areas. The Red Cross has set up a shelter at Remington's. The address is 1655 West Republic Road, Springfield MO. Christian County C.E.R.T. volunteers are needed to assist with shelter operations. Currently the shelter is ready to receive clients. Saturday, August 30, 2008.

Tuesday, October 28, 2008. Flood Recovery Volunteers Needed. These are needs that have been identified by the Christian County Long Term Recovery Committee. All of these needs are from recent flooding. These people did not have insurance and did not receive any FEMA assistance.
