The Country Club of Naples Golf Maintenance Blog. Tuesday, April 14, 2015. First day of the State Senior Championship. The course is spectacular today for the start of the Florida State Senior Championship. Greens are running at quick 12 feet and the turf conditions are as good as anyone's in town. I took some pictures this morning of the course to share with everyone what our guests will get to play today. 5 tee on right looking backwards on 4. That includes watering the course. Instead of turning on sprinklers and watering areas that do not need the extra water, Pierre is hand watering just the localized dry spots. All of this means the green are going to increase in speed as the metabolic response to the cold slows the grass growth on the putting surfaces.
