Tmux – Attach to Different Windows | Cerebral Manifest

http://cerebralmanifest.com/tmux-attach-to-different-windows

Manifestations of a tech geek. 8211; Attach to Different Windows. I am (was) a big time GNU Screen. Arrived, I was a big fan of that and switched to it (byobu, is basically a fancy/pretty .screenrc. Byobu shortly after made Tmux. The default and I was slow in adopting the use of Tmux instead of screen. Recently though I decided to embrace Tmux for its claimed lightweight. There are a few variations which once embraced can actually be a good thing. Another use case I have is to attach to the same screen s...

Should you use underscore prefixes in python (private) variables? | Cerebral Manifest

Manifestations of a tech geek. Should you use underscore prefixes. In python (private) variables? Especially not double underscores, never! 8230; if you really really want and have an itch you want to scratch use one underscore, that’s more than enough to tell users that they shouldn’t change it. Manifestations of a tech geek. Avoid Hyphens in Puppet Class Names. We had been using hyphens in class names until I faced an issue that I wasn’t able to figure out. The issue is, if you have a class name with a hyphen, and then try to grab a fully qualified variable from the class, the puppet dsl parser thinks its a minus. They seemed to fix the issue and should be released with puppet 3.5. But until then, use underscores if you need to but avoid the issue. June 11, 2014. On uWSGI vs Gunicorn.

uWSGI vs Gunicorn | Cerebral Manifest

http://cerebralmanifest.com/uwsgi-vs-gunicorn

Manifestations of a tech geek. Gunicorn isn’t just “trendy” it actually works really well, in some cases (like mine) works much better than uWSGI. (also it seems that uwsgi is now becoming trendy, so am I just a hipster for switching to the uncool option :P). I have always been a big fan of the uWSGI. Made it easy for me to stick to my uWSGI choice and make my argument for uWSGI over the more “trendy” gunicorn [DCramer 2013]. I have bumped into / used a couple of alternatives namely phusion passenger.

In A Sentence .org. The best little site that helps you understand word usage with examples. Cerebrally in a sentence. I like to pass the cerebrally clown garbbed wearing my 18lb. backpack. The Aristotelian origins of the bands name have an academic ring, but theres nothing cerebrally remote about the thunder of young Danish double-bassist Jasper Høibys sound, or the dramatically building improvisations of pianist Ivo Neame. Mindless inexplicable ramblings of a mentally deranged mosquito. The man behind the moniker. April 6, 2015. You know how easy it is to judge others, especially when you feel youbyourself have been through hard times and well, you didn’t turn out to poorly. Or you see the young man vibrant in church, hard working, whose soul is given to the things of God and his responsibility to the Kingdom and you ask “is it because things aren’t going so well in other areas of his life? Do I have it all figured out?

Manifestations of a tech geek. At our company we had used hipchat for a little over 2 years, back when it was charging for when you had more than 5 users. I had previously tried to get the founders to try slack (since it was all the buzz) and failed. Since nothing was broken, I decided that hipchat was good enough for the team. I was pumped to make the switch. Continue Reading (1412 words, estimated 5:39 mins reading time). March 21, 2015. I have always been a big fan of the uWSGI. March 18, 2015. I used...

Blah blah, unga bunga, yik yak…. August 4, 2009 • 6:45 pm. Money from the future? Perpetual (adj.): everlasting, valid for all time. First rule of life – Nothing is perpetual. If your parents haven’t hammered that into your head, just passing through life would’ve made that abundantly clear by now. Last night, rewatched this amazing and at the same time disturbing CNBC special call ‘House of Cards’. It examines the time line and the reasons behind the recent credit crisis:.
