Bowel Screening Follow-Up Study. About The Bowel Screening Follow-Up Study. Bowel Cancer Screening Programme began to be rolled out across England in 2006, and offers bowel cancer screening using the Faecal Occult Blood test ( FOB. T) to men and women aged 60-74. The aim of the screening programme is to detect bowel cancers at an early stage, when there are better chances of effective treatment. More information about bowel cancer screening and FOB.
