So about that plan for $900 in the next month. Time to reevaluate. I was planning. On playing rush tourneys as much as possible and slowly creeping toward the goal while taking shots in $2 and $3 buyin MTTs with huge payouts. I was also going to run a stake on Part Time Poker. Brandon's Blog: February 2010

http://brandonsaiz.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html

Thursday, February 11, 2010. I’m on Attu Island in Alaska as I write this. How insane is that? I’m 1,100 miles from mainland Alaska and I can still play poker and blog on the Internet. It is, admittedly, rather choppy Internet . (It's no worse than Maine in similar weather.). The weather is awful! Half the time they’re plastered with snow from the drifts! Monday, February 8, 2010. If my prognostication record were a batting average I’d be in the Hall of Fame. That’s even in this Athletes ...Sometimes I g...

Saturday, January 24, 2009. From My Poker Blog. Do a feature about these two friends making it all the way. This past week I saw the passing of one of my best friends – one of my favorite poker buddies. My Uncle Billy died while I was out on the boat. I found out on Thursday. Billy was the most driven poker player I knew. He lived alone and spent much of his time away from work working over the fish at PokerStars. Family made Billy my Uncle, but Poker made Billy my friend. My other help comes from the fa...

Brandon's Blog: September 2009

http://brandonsaiz.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html

Wednesday, September 30, 2009. Ten and Six Week Three. Where did I go wrong? I was 10-6 this week. Surprisingly not 9-7, as I accidently picked the Colts to win, even though I didn’t think they would. Better to be lucky than good I guess. Although this week was a major improvement over last week, I still sucked. Let’s see where I failed. Jags win on the road vs. Houston. What the hell Houston? Talk about an on-off switch for defense! You know, without blowing the lead in the last couple minutes. Oh how I...

Saturday, November 14, 2009. I'm Perfect in Week 10. So Far. How great was it to see Cutleritis strike in San Francisco on Thursday? I love how sports brings out such passion in me that I root for a team's demise just because they have a specific player on their team! I picked the 9ers, so Thursday's result was like winning twice! Um, let's see. What else? Saints will win. Chargers will win. Saturday, November 7, 2009. If you have the ESPN coverage DVR'd, don't read this: Phil Ivey, the greatest player i...

Monday, December 29, 2008. Unreal - Where the Lack of Respect for the Chargers Comes From. For keeping this updated. Now the Chargers have made it. The San Diego Chargers, who were likely everyone's favorite to win it all once Tom Brady went Carson Palmer. On us, are now in the playoffs[sorry about the link Pattie Fans, but this is what sports does to us]. So why should we show any respect to a team that is 8-8 and only in the playoffs because they play in a weak division? To the MIGHTY BUFFALO BILLS!

Friday, February 8, 2008. There are some goals that I established for the time that I am helping out, including the off-season. 8226; Better myself at home, at work, and as a coach everyday. This is something that I’ve already implemented as a daily objective. If you’re not moving up, you’re losing (oh wait, that’s poker). 8226; Learn the system front and back and never stray from it. 8226; Allow each player to experience success daily. 8226; Seek solutions and not excuses or rationalizations. This has a...

Friday, July 13, 2007. I love having family in town. I love hosting people at my house. I remember in college my mother bought a hot plate so I could mix up hot chocolate in the dorms during the anticipated cold Indiana winter. I was so excited to be able to invite my good friends over to enjoy a cup with me. It was thrilling, anticipating their arrival. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). On the Road Again. http://brandonsaiz.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html

Friday, June 15, 2007. The New England Experience. We had guests at the house recently. My brother Erick was in town. The kids loved him and called him Uncle Ick (well, the shorter ones did anyway). His visit was overlapped by my parents, Bill and Jane. We tried to give them as much New England as we could. Here's Bill with a 3.5 lb Lobster and a Sam Adams. We ran out to Kevin and Jodie’s to see Owl’s Head Light. Since we know the “keepers” we got to show them inside. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
