Also, forgot to mention: we had a major bow hold adjustment at our last lesson. My teacher observed that I was trying to control the bow from the front and back (using my fingertips), rather than the top (using my top knuckle) and bottom . Without the weekly orchestra rehearsals (September to early May), I can learn a fiddle tune or two, or even learn to play by ear.
