Finish Line Fantasies : September 2014
http://finishlinefantasies.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 28, 2014. A Tale of Two Distances: Utah Half and Vegas Super Sprint. First off, I must apologize for just how overdue this post is. September seems to have come and gone in the blink of an eye. Two races, one bailed race, and a whole boat load of training later, here is a little update (the benefit of procrastination is you will be spared the boring details). In late August, I ventured to Utah for my first half of the season, the Utah Half. View from my accommodations wasn't too shabby.

Going For Goofy: March 2014
http://goingforgoofy.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 18, 2014. The ratio of Race Reports to 'Brain' Reports on my blog is about 1:3. Overdue for something in the psyche arena. And then the sparkle of having free weekends faded. Though much of my time became consumed by my coaching roles, I started to itch. Physically and mentally. What happens when I start itching? I start thinking, reflecting, scheming and fretting. It is it laziness? Is it . acceptable? Working hard is great, being lazy sometimes is great, but failed potential is the worst.

Perhaps the best race to date, period! That was a mouthful. It was all fabulous! There wasn’t much to do! And, of course, s...

Finish Line Fantasies : November 2014
http://finishlinefantasies.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 13, 2014. The world can change in an instant. Good or bad, everyone has been there: a letter of acceptance, an unexpected phone call, a diagnosis, a second blue line, a natural disaster, a question … an accident. On October 5. I was riding along in the second portion of the ChallengeRancho Cordova 70.3. And my best leg was still to come. I had just calculated that I was riding at about 25 mph when it happened. Pre race day swim with Erin, Jill, and Abby. There’s a car coming. Some stup...
