I tried to post regularly, but found it hard. There were a few massive, months-long catchup sessions in the spring and summer of '07. But by August 30, 2007, I kind of petered out. I was still taking photos, but not nearly as many as before, and nowhere near enough to fill in the five months. So in February 2008, I decided that I would backfill those months with just the pix I had taken, posted on the dates they were taken. Or the Canon PowerShot SD1000 Digital Elph we got in 2008 (7.1 megapixels!

What's this "Winter" we keep hearing about? We were due to fly to Austin today for STAPLE! This weekend but got the call yesterday from American that our morning flight had been cancelled. Were able to rebook a later one; in retrospect, it should've occurred if the first flight of the day was cancelled, the second one didn't have much of a chance either, and we should've seen that call this morning coming. We just became more travel victims of the storm. After the couple hours that was, got burritos.

Traveled to MSP on a Sunday, arriving a bit early — but still not early enough to make it to the inexplicably-closing-early-that-Sunday-only IKEA, which mocked Monica from our hotel room. S house- and dogsitting outside of Taos, so we decided to get out of town for a little visit. First chance, after years, to test out the big bed Mon made for the car. But not sure Cheyenne ever settled in on the hour-plus drive up. Turned off the main road well before Taos, onto a small road winding through some awfully green land. Almost swampy at times. A Little More Snow. After days of promised snow, woke up to about 6". At one point, looked up from shoveling.
