The first 5 years. A tip for all long distance cyclists, rehydrate before the event. June 11, 2014. The lads are slowly gathering in Troon to catch the ferry to Larne. Just time for a bit of hydration in the Harbour Bar, Troon. As usual we’re running a book on ho will be last to arrive. Those who know the group will have already guessed the answer to that one. As usual we will no doubt fail to get enough sleep – excellent preparation for the early start to 76 mile first day. Please give very generously.

The first 5 years. One week to go. June 5, 2014. With just one week to go till the lads are off on our 6th Beer Bellies tour, the guys got together for a last planning(? Meeting at Hamilton Rugby Club. With all 5 Bellies in attendance it was also an opportunity to get a quick promo photograph -or it would have been if one of us had remembered a camera. This is a National charity based at Guy’s and St Thomas Hospital, London, whose role is to raise awareness, offer support and fund research into myeloproliferative disorders (you can see why it’s abbreviated to MPD). We start on 15 June 2011 at Lochfinnan then cycle 60 miles to Oban. On day two.
