Charlie’s most excellent trip with Dad. Tuesday, October 6, 2009. And so. It begins. Charlie decided that he would make things interesting; after all ennui is no fun. So yesterday, as the story goes he was cutting sunflower tops with his pocket knife (WTF! And since his finger looked so much like a sunflower stalk, he cut it too. After a trip to urgent care (sigh), he has a splint but no stitches. Ennui, n. Listlessness and dissatisfaction resulting from lack of interest (great word). Day 3 Mount Rushmore.

Charlie’s most excellent trip with Dad. Monday, September 21, 2009. Is to leave Duluth Friday October 9, 2009 in the early afternoon and drive to Minneapolis. Arriving late afternoon. We will make a stop at the Wedge. For supplies and then stay the night at the Minneapolis-St. Paul ARS. We will get up the next day, Saturday October 10 at "Oh Dark Thirty" and drive straight through to Ellsworth AFB. Just outside Rapid City SD. This is the first and shorter of two "Bataan Death March" driving extravaganzas.
