3rd principle part, nominative neuter plural: things having been written. The Allure of Small Town/Extreme Suburbs. Tonight, I went to a high school hockey game. This culture is very alluring, as the entire town shows up for a high school hockey game, and they support their children, their neighbors' children, the teenagers that coach their 7 year old sons and daughters in pee-wee hockey. I could never raise my kids in a city. Or California. I wouldnt know how. Im all for small towns. The New York Times.

3rd principle part, nominative neuter plural: things having been written. I just discovered that itunes now has a built in social networking part called "Ping," where you can like share what you are listening to and what you like. I personally have no interest in either sharing what I am listening to or learning what other people are sharing. Also, they keep updating Itunes. It is so irritating. Now I just sound like an old crotchety person. This technology! It was six books in four days!

two short legs in portland: December 2012
http://jessicakyle.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Monday, December 31, 2012. It was a bittersweet Christmas this year, full of togetherness and fun, but also grief at the passing of my grandfather, Timothy Matlack Warren, on December 21. It's hard to know what to say, but I'm going to try my hand at a few words, in honor of a man who loved to read words, and in part because I'm going to speak briefly at the service on Friday. I think I can appreciate exactly what he meant. Is what G-Daddy wrote back. He said, "My mum used to call me Timmy! I don't know ...

3rd principle part, nominative neuter plural: things having been written. I am, by external definition, an adult. I pay my own bills, I cook myself dinner, I am fairly self-reliant. Instead of thinking about what college to go to, or what is happening next year, or even next week, I think of things in a longer span. What do I want in life? Where do I want to live? While these decisions do not need to be made (and in my mind, shouldn't. Be made right now), they are still there. Floating. The New York Times.

3rd principle part, nominative neuter plural: things having been written. Freedom by Jonathan Franzen. The first chapter of this book was a short story fiction in the New Yorker. It was a bad fiction, because it totally was a chapter of a book, not a short story. The New Yorker published a couple chapters of his book "The Corrections," and the sensation of reading chapters of a book that you have read before as a short story is eerie. I don't like it. Wicked by Gregory Maquire. LDRs Not so fun actually.

two short legs in portland: hi charlie!
http://jessicakyle.blogspot.com/2013/09/hi-charlie.html
Sunday, September 29, 2013. We are all so excited to welcome our little nephew and cousin Charlie to the world! I am the luckiest auntie - he's only been on the outside for about nine days now, and I've already seen him three times, including one really lovely day spent with Sarah and Charlie. On Saturday, we brought the kids down so they could meet their cousin for the first time. Cuteness ensued! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Hearty and healthy breakfast. 3rd principle part, nominative neuter plural: things having been written. I got a sewing machine. In order to amortize said sewing machine, I've been trying to do one small project for the three weekends I have had it. Three weeks ago: round pillows for kitchen stools that I refinished. Two weeks ago: napkin rings from canvas with different color thread stripes. This week: Pillow shams for my sister. Too bad I don't have pictures! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
