Over the past month, I've decided that fourth year medical school and getting married have one major thing in common: they're both designed to keep taking your money. On the plus side, I have now finished my residency applications and sent them off to 48 programs. So, next year, I could be an orthopedic surgery intern basically anywhere except Alaska/ Hawaii. Looking forward to seeing some of you for the first time in a while :). Lioness in Mala Mala.

Around the world in 90 days. Friday, March 29, 2013. Day 13 - Travel day. What happened: wake up (not too early), check out of hotel, bus to airport, flight, sit around at other airport. What will happen: another flight, bus to hotel, check in, eat/sleep/explore (will play it by ear). Tuesday, March 26, 2013. Day 6 - Reunion. Up early again (what kind of vacation is this? Around the world in 90 days. Thursday, July 11, 2013. Day 78 - Sharks and biking to the Wall of Tears. The day started at Las Tintoreras where we saw tons of marine iguanas, white tipped reef sharks in the channel, and a heron. We then took the zodiac into Puerto Villami where a small feeding frenzy was happening. Saw penguins, boobies, and seals all trying to get at the sardines! Around the world in 90 days. Tuesday, August 20, 2013. Day 79 - Punta Moreno. Started off the day by talking a walk through a pahoehoe. Lava field. We saw both lava and candelabra cacti before getting to a lagoon where we saw a bunch of wildlife - 3 flamingos, mullet fish, and egrets. Spent a bunch of time watching the flamingos which were much closer than our last spotting, but still far enough away to make it difficult to see details easily. Slapped on my fins and jumped back in! Day 79 - Punta Moreno.
