http://my-time-has-come.blogspot.com/2007/07/pleasant-surprise.html
Thursday, July 12, 2007. I appreciate ur stand. I didn't know people actually wrote about all this until you gave me that link. Thanks again. The best thing is to stick what you like. Thats the very thing that makes us human and different- that we can look at the same thing and see it differently. :). Which schools are u targeting. July 12, 2007 at 8:06 PM. My MBA journey: What if
http://my-time-has-come.blogspot.com/2008/03/what-if.html
Sunday, March 9, 2008. When I researched B-schools in fall, Ross and Fuqua jumped out at me as being best suited for my post-MBA goals with Ross having an edge. Try as I might, I had a tough time tying my goals to what Kellogg and Sloan had to offer. So despite their perception as better schools, they were not better than Ross/Fuqua for me. But what if I'm wrong and as unlikely as it sounds, overall brand trumps school strength in a specific area? March 9, 2008 at 12:42 PM. March 11, 2008 at 11:58 PM.

Vector Space: One Application Per Applicant
http://vectorspace101.blogspot.com/2008/01/one-application-per-applicant.html
Tuesday, January 1, 2008. One Application Per Applicant. As one of my last acts in 2007, I submitted my Harvard and Wharton applications yesterday. And then promptly ended up at what turned out to be an awesome party in DC. The day after, as I re-hydrate my system with detoxifying fluids (whatever that means), I feel an overwhelming sense of relief at having finally submitted. I also feel like penning a thought I had since the past few days as I spent re-positioning essays. Also, this might. Likely reduc...

Vector Space: Closure
http://vectorspace101.blogspot.com/2007/12/closure.html
Wednesday, December 19, 2007. After quite a long break, I return to my blog again. It's been almost 2 months, I'm knee deep in the application process. While I'm writing essays at full tilt, I also am perplexed by a question which is the topic of my post today. I shall present two arguments, and invite comments from fellow bloggers (to whom I promise, that I shall write more often). Closure is relative. What is your closure? Hey, you're back. guess what? For both of us! Welcome back, VS! Very interesting...

Vector Space: Of acceptance rates and yields
http://vectorspace101.blogspot.com/2007/10/of-acceptance-rates-and-yields.html
Saturday, October 6, 2007. Of acceptance rates and yields. I happened to look at acceptance rates and yields for top schools today, and thought I'd share some thoughts about these 2 parameters. Its well-known that acceptance rate is a measure of the selectivity of the school (#admitted/#applied), while yield is a measure of 'relative desirability' of schools to students (#accepted/#admitted). Schools publish both numbers - and taken together, these numbers offer some pretty interesting insights. I just w...

Vector Space: September 2007
http://vectorspace101.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 30, 2007. Autumn heralds R1 deadlines. It's been a full 2 months that this blog has sprung back to life. With the GMAT done, I thought the hardest was over. How wrong, and how vain. B-schools make the field even more level - by encouraging almost anyone from 1-10 years out of school to apply, regardless of industry, education or nationality. My first recommender has already agreed to write what it takes, I talk to the second one tomorrow. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). GMAT Resources I Used.

The Venetian Job - The ultimate MBA applicant blog
http://venetianjob.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html
Will I ever make it? My journey through the MBA application process. Thursday, May 31, 2007. As I said I got the GMAT out of the way a while ago, and I'd recommend to do the same so that you can just focus on the essays (and everything else). This is from something I wrote the day I completed the GMAT:. Finished an hour ago and scored a fantastic XXX, more than I was hoping for. Eventually they let me continue the exam after 35 (! I somehow managed to score XXX (which I was kinda happy about) but I just ...

The MBA Dream: April 2007
http://dreamersmbajourney.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
A dream is best enjoyed when shared with others. Lemme share my dream and the path I take to make it happen. Friday, April 13, 2007. And my friends told me not to hurry into full length tests. I think they are right. I'll do only OG and sectional practice tests. This weekend starts today. Lets see how far do I go this weekend. Monday, April 2, 2007. As of now my preparation is going very slow. I had planned to work on OG 10th in the weekdays and OG 11th in the weekend with one test on weekend. I design d...
