Although the region has many attractions it is tempting to pass the time in the grounds of the chateau. Tennis, swimming, ping pong, boules and a trampoline beckon the more active. The less active can stroll in the wood, fish in the moat, read by a stream or sleep in a hammock. Children can paddle in the stream or splash in the river. A barbeque by the pool might involve everyone. Boules before dinner: serious business. There is something about streams. Looking from the courtyard over the moat.

The inside of the Chateau de la Motte is roomy and very comfortable. On the ground floor there is a large salon, where 15 people may congregate in comfort, two small sitting rooms, a library and a playroom where one can read, watch television (s) or make a noise without bothering anyone. The table in the kitchen expands to seat 10. On the first floor are four large bedrooms, 3 with adjoining bathrooms. There are 3 other bedrooms and a room with shower, basin and wc. ( see floor plan.
