Tursch's Garden Blog: Creating a Lasagna Garden
http://turschgardenblog.blogspot.com/2011/08/creating-lasagna-garden.html
Tursch's MyFolia Garden Journal. Sunday, August 14, 2011. Creating a Lasagna Garden. I started my first Lasagna garden spring 2011 along a border of mostly pachysandra and other shrubs. I laid out a hose to mark the perimeter of the garden. Poured lime along the hose to create the outline of the bed. Started laying out newspaper over the grass. Some soil and compost are holding down the newspaper. Vinyl edging installed to keep the pachysandra from encroaching. We'll see if that works. A Way to Garden.

Looking through the peep hole and into our lives. Man vs. Vole – Part II →. October 4, 2009. We had a very productive Sunday around here — getting our yard all winterized and ready for the change of seasons. I even got my act together and planted 100 tulip bulbs all around the front and backyard. Can’t wait for them to pop up in the spring. And, I’m not giving up on my veggie garden just yet! Ina’s Roasted Broccoli | Our Peep Show

Looking through the peep hole and into our lives. Ina’s Roasted Broccoli. January 30, 2010. I’ve been trying to eat more veggies. It’s so hard in the winter to get them all in, at least for me. During the summer everything is fresh and available but during the winter, it just takes more effort. My mom has been raving about Ina Garten’s Parmesan Roasted Broccoli. Recipe in her Back to Basics cookbook. Which by the way is one of my most loved and used kitchen tools, so I figured I would try it. You are com...

Brownies With A Twist | Our Peep Show

Looking through the peep hole and into our lives. Hot Chocolate On A Stick. Brownies With A Twist. January 16, 2010. Most of the time when I read a recipe that doesn’t sound appealing, I just pass it by. I mean, why make something that doesn’t even sound good. This was different. It was the strangest recipe I had ever seen. So of course I had to try it. You don’t see black beans as the major ingredient in brownies every day. But in the end decided on the Meal Makeover Moms. And with no flour. Weird.

Looking through the peep hole and into our lives. Valentine’s Fun →. Farm Tour – Abundant Life Farm. February 6, 2010. I’m still giddy from our little afternoon adventure to visit the farm and family who produces the meat we buy. Jason and I decided to drive down to Dallas, which is just west of Salem, to visit the Jondle family. And get a little tour of their gorgeous 210 acre Abundant Life Farm. You know, the awesome farmer in the documentary Food Inc. Before settling into their routine in Oregon.

Looking through the peep hole and into our lives. Ina’s Roasted Broccoli. Farm Tour – Abundant Life Farm →. January 31, 2010. Are you ready for some footbaaaalll? With the Super Bowl just around the corner, I thought it would be fun to test drive a dip that would be perfect for the big game. I’m participating in the Book of Yum’s “Adopt a Gluten-free Blogger” January edition. And decided to make something from one of my all time favorite food bloggers — Stephanie O’Dea. Six Balloons Vintage Delights. Friday, March 7, 2014. Sesame Street DIY Birthday Party and Loot Bags! This past weekend we had a birthday party for my son, who just turned 2! If you are still reading, loyal blog followers, yep, it's been a whole two years since my free time for thrifting took a serious hit.
