My Birding Starting September 2007

Saturday, 8 August 2015. Its been a difficult week, having opted for the Sabines on Wednesday I then had to endure a number of days where little things meant I could not go for the Ring-Billed Gull in Preston. Finally though my time came and by half past nine of Saturday morning I was at Preston Docks finally enjoying the Ring-Billed Gull. The docks were actually a pretty decent birding spot. I was very surprised to find that there was a colony of Common Terns on the wavebreakers which seemed to have...

Daniel Branch: Birding: Pennington Flash

http://cheese-dishfish.blogspot.com/2015/08/pennington-flash.html

Wednesday, 5 August 2015. All the gripping birds decided to drop in the few days when I had no time at all. So when I finally did have time free I was left in a dilemma as to which bird I should go for. I decided to head over to Wigan for the superb looking Sabines Gull at Pennington Flash. 2nd Summer Sabines Gull. 2nd Summer Sabines Gull. 7 August 2015 at 11:12. Im a bit concerned about the coming to bread bit though, cant imagine its digestive system is used to bread! 7 August 2015 at 19:20. Hello, I'm...

Daniel Branch: Birding: Chatterley Whitfield Colliery

http://cheese-dishfish.blogspot.com/2015/07/chatterley-whitfield-colliery.html

Tuesday, 28 July 2015. The question is, was it worth the wait? The answer: Yes it was. In the end I stayed with the bird for over 3 hours watching it at incredibly close quarters, once down to as little as four feet away! Due to the weather it spent long periods sheltered and out of sight, and when it showed it was often brief. However, there were a couple of periods where it showed for longer, and it was in these periods that it came close and rewarded our patience by being awesome. View my complete pro...

Daniel Branch: Birding: June 2015

http://cheese-dishfish.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html

Tuesday, 30 June 2015. There is no point doing a full blog post for every visit to soil hill as it would no doubt end up extremely repetitive and pointless, so unless there is a significant record or patch tick I see little point in individual posts. Whitethroat, Grey Partridge, Reed Bunting, Skylark, Meadow Pipit, Swift, Coal Tit, Great Tit, Woodpigeon, Carrion Crow, Lesser Black-Backed Gull, Swallow, Magpie, Stock Dove, Feral Pigeon, Linnet, Mistle Thrush, Kestrel, Robin. Daniel Branch: Birding: April 2015

http://cheese-dishfish.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html

Thursday, 30 April 2015. Meare Heath Nature Reserve. Then, plot twist, at half 9 during my lecture the news dropped that it was back. Ensue panic! I caught the bus an hour later and the ran from the village where I was dropped to the site, a distance of some 2 miles, to ensure I did not miss it going to roost. There were still birders around and they told me it was still there, all the more reason to run. At last, I arrived on site at 17.00, 6 hours after setting off. What an exhausting day! Having had a...

Daniel Branch: Birding: Norfolk - dipping Citril Finch

http://cheese-dishfish.blogspot.com/2015/05/norfolk-dipping-citril-finch.html

Monday, 11 May 2015. Norfolk - dipping Citril Finch. It was too good to contemplate missing so as soon as news broke of a Citril Finch in Norfolk I made plans for a day out to see it. The day came, but I could not afford to wait on news and so had to set off at the absurd time of half 5 for my first train. Thats the first time I have ever photographed Grey Partridge so I was pretty thrilled about that. I then set off marching through the woodland to try and get to the finch site. Along the way I ...Sadly...

Hey Hey welcome to my cheesy forums me the CheeseDemon or known in person as Taupuru Brightwell the king of uhh what ever. Well the project I have chosen is my most successful project, project two 101 the one word film. To sum things up this project required to make a short animation using one word and the animation had to represent that chosen word for example I choose Eaten. Reason why I choose this project?
