My blog will need a new name. - My life as a Mommy
http://mks73.livejournal.com/19831.html
My life as a Mommy. My blog will need a new name. Apr 30th, 2009 at 1:34 AM. I accepted a job today. A full-time permanent (as in not contract) position. I start in 11 days. Perhaps most importantly, I have to cherish these remaining days at home with my boy, because they will be over all too soon. And for that, I am profoundly sad. 4 comments Leave a comment. 17 months and a new job - My life as a Mommy
http://mks73.livejournal.com/20457.html
My life as a Mommy. 17 months and a new job. May 22nd, 2009 at 4:28 PM. My boy turned 17 months old yesterday. He is talking up a storm, mimicking almost every two syllable word we say, and every so often throwing out a word relevant to our conversation to show that he is really listening. He's still not walking. Somedays I worry about that, most days I don't. He will do things in his own time and in his own way. And now I want to get home to see my boy. Have a good weekend. 1 comment Leave a comment.

My life as a Mommy. Adult conversation vs. baby talk. Jul 9th, 2009 at 8:28 PM. It's been almost two months since I started my job. Do I still like it? I do Do I miss my boy? I do And Mondays are the hardest day of the week. How mature I felt and how happy I was to be a mommy. I thought back to earlier conversations with friends where I was the only childless one in the discussion, and I remembered feeling anxious and sad and alone. I'm glad that I'm no longer in that place. And I'm very grateful...

After I did my " Thank You Public School. Post, it occurred to me [after reading my friend Michelle's comment] that I wasn't being fair and balanced in sharing about public school. So, this post is about what I LIKE about public school. There ARE some things. But my oldest, while being gifted at math, HATES it. We would spend HOURS...

Alien Life As The Single Mother Of Six Little Monkeys ."It's kind of fun to do the impossible." - Walt Disney. Monday, July 19, 2010. Why I Love Paula Deen. Is one of my heroes. That might sound a little weird coming from me, but it is true. But, that said, I still respect Paula Deen so much in so many other ways. But in many respects, Paula Deen is an excellent female role model. At 42 she had nothing, and now she must be one of the wealthiest women in the world. With her last $200, she started a food s...
