Thursday, May 21, 2015. Well trip and other things. The car all packed and ready to head out again. Rog made this drill bit using an angle grinder. Having some fun.our teammate, Paul, made this tower for Rog and it helps to pull up all the pipes. One of the sites Rog is working on. It is 40 C and no shade anywhere. While Rog slaves away under the sun, I usually get to find shade somewhere and though it is still hot, I can't complain! There are so many babies! This is baby Jean, whom I wrote about here.

Children playing in the playground at Cimi - the Zarma word for "truth" - the school has Christian teachers and the government has approved for this Christian school to be teaching the children of Niger. Rog playing with some of the kids at the school. We want to learn too! We had been wondering if there were needs in this village and what we could do to help these people help themselves and here they were asking us for teaching! Rog being the natural teacher.me being Vanna :).

No, really.today I took a nice big bite then saw a worm meandering through the mango. Thankfully, I hadn't swallowed yet! Friday, 29 May 2015. Tree Planting - Part 3. The week following the "work day" - a national teacher from Samaritan's Purse came to my village to teach about the tree planting and nursery sacs. It is so great to partner with other organizations who have knowledge and are great teachers! The first part of the training session was the teaching portion - we all gathered under a straw hut for shade and learned about how to construct tree nursery sacs, plant the seeds, and plant the seedlings. 1 shovel of clay.
