Steven Cherry’s Blog. Random ranting and musing. Automating Eclipse Headless Builds with Zed Builds and Bugs. I was reading through the Zed Documentation. And found a nice guide on how to use Zed to implement Eclipse headless builds. Using Zed. We’ve been using Eclipse since the start of the Shadow Studio, and this looked like a nice solution since we also use Zed to manage our automated builds. So, I decided to give it a shot. Some key points for the application that made it a good fit:. I added the fol...

Steven Cherry’s Blog. Random ranting and musing. Interesting site about open source continuous integration. Just stumbled across this site that lists a bunch of open source continuous integration products. It’s interesting because we use the Zed Builds And Bugs Continuous Integration Server. That is advertised on the site. But everything else on the site appears to be completely open source. Good information, and a useful link. December 1, 2009. I’m also passionate about family. Zed Builds and Bugs.

Steven Cherry’s Blog. Random ranting and musing. Software idea – story planning by locality. An idea struck me the other day, an idea for a software product to help writers organize their thoughts for stories that they work on. I did a quick search, and as usual there are very many examples of book writing software. Including directories of writing products. And even your typical book writing software is evil. Responses to the existence of such software. So what’s the idea, you ask? Once you plan the ove...

Steven Cherry’s Blog. Random ranting and musing. I’m a software developer. I like these kinds of things. It’s like our version of the “what’s under your hood” conversation that car-guys love to have at the drop of a hat. I’m not a car-guy, but I do like to talk about motorcycles. I tend to write software mostly centered around Java. Development; which is interesting because I started life as a Unix-C developer writing server applications🙂. Today my toolchain includes the following:. Zed Builds And Bugs.
