Cheryl's Garden Goodies. Epitome of Jumping to the Wrong Conclusion. February 7, 2011 at 8:43 pm ( Campari Tomato. Tags: Campari tomato seedlings. However, I only had to look further down the alley to see the evidence of a genuine bad mannered snow blower operator. On the other end of the alley, somebody cleared the alley in front of a vacant house and created a hill of snow across the width of the alley. So, the rant from the other day has been redirected to those that are truly guilty. Long time no post.

Da Garden o' Eat'n: Rapitest Composting Info
http://beardedonesgardenofeatn.blogspot.com/p/rapitest-composting-info.html
Da Garden o' Eat'n. The following is printed on the side of my Rapitest Compost Thermometer Box. I found it very informative. Temperature plays an inportant role in the coposting process. Decompostition occurs most rapidly between 110F and 160F. Within two weeks a properly made pile will reach these temperatures. At this time, you will notice your pile settling which is a good sign that the pile is working properly. Martha Smith, Extension Educator, Horticulture. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Rebecca's Urb...

Da Garden o' Eat'n. Saturday, January 29, 2011. A new year, a new garden. As you have probably noticed I don't Blog much. The written word is not my normal mode of communication. Have been searching for a source of terra-cotta ollas to use as pither irrigation. Three sisters with sunflower is such a good idea. I want to try that. I thi...

Da Garden o' Eat'n. Friday, February 25, 2011. The Last Friday of February. The dew pond is great at catching rain but hasn't caught much dew yet, it's been too darn cold. Caught 4.5 gallons of rain two days after I built the pond but nothing since. Thinking that it needs to be above freezing at night for it to work correctly. Rain water in the dew pond. http://beardedonesgardenofeatn.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Da Garden o' Eat'n. Saturday, July 24, 2010. Ovay - it's been 3 weeks! My my, where does the time go? The garden is growing like gangbusters in the heat, it's been in the high 90's the last 2.5 weeks (finally). There have been a couple of windy days the the last 3 weeks, one of which reduced one of my eggplants to this state. Snapped off by 55 mph wind :-(. The melons and cucumbers are loving the heat and sunshine. This is a Moon and Stars Watermelon, the largest one growing on 4 plants. Happy 4th of July.

Da Garden o' Eat'n: Fungi
http://beardedonesgardenofeatn.blogspot.com/2011/02/fungi.html
Da Garden o' Eat'n. Tuesday, February 1, 2011. Some Fungi form symbiotic relations with plants that benefit both plant and the fungi. The fungi supplies the plant with resources that the plant can't access (water and minerals), in return the plant supplies simple sugars, complex carbohydrates and proteins. Basically fungi form extended root systems for the plants that they associate with, provide habitat for bacteria and protect the plant from pathogens, pollutants and herbivores. Da Blogs I Read. Cheryl's Frugal Corner
Tuesday, January 10, 2017. Health and Beauty Frugality. We all talk at the beginning of the year (every year) about how we need to get healthier, exercise and eat better. WE ALL KNOW WE NEED TO DO THESE THINGS! We eat pretty healthy for the most part (except at the holidays), and considering G's physical ailment, we are both pretty darn healthy. I DO NOT like to exercise at all! I spend at least an hour every day in the fresh air - regardless of how hot or cold it is. Then there is snow shoveling! Get a ...

Sunday, February 28, 2010. More than two million people have been affected by the strong earthquake in Chile. The earthquake, 8.8 magnitude rocked Chile early Saturday, while most residents were sleeping. The devastating quake, thousands of times stronger than the one that hit Haiti, struck central Chile on February 27 2010. The current official death toll stands at about 300 people and it is apparent that Chile is coping considerably better with the disaster than Haiti. Website - The Sofia Echo. Http:/ ...
