Tales from Languedoc Wine Country. Monday, 8 October 2012. We picked our Carignan yesterday. Beautifully healthy, ripe grapes. I am so looking forward to seeing what the wine is like. The vines are nearly 60 years old and, to my knowledge, this is the first time that the grapes have ever been vinified on their own. They've always been lost in the blend at the local co-op.
