Wednesday, June 25, 2014. CHICABRAVA Surf Camp in Nicaragua. I'm proud to say, this is my 100th blog post. Yay me! So, I'm reluctantly getting back in to the flow of city life after attempting to be a surfer in Nicaragua at a week long camp at ChicaBrava. I have a million words to say, and somehow, I'm going to squeeze it down into a short, poorly written essay. Are any of you travelers? As soon as I was smart enough to get a passport, I was off to explore the world! Lauren, Noelani, Elsi, Dani, Johnny, ...

Girl Surfs World: Living Rich: Haiti

Heart broken, I sat behind the glass windows, a removed spectator, peering at the world operating outside of my bubble. Girl Surfs World: A Regular’s Heaven: El Salvador

A Regular’s Heaven: El Salvador. In my mind’s eye, I can still see Jimmy getting barreled twice at Punta Roca, threading the frothing wave like a needle. I remember the stagnant heat and noise of a local bus rumbling along and then halting to a stop, and the thrill of being launched into a spitting tube in El Zonte. I can still even taste the delicious, fresh pupusas that satisfied my craving after hours of surfing. Grace by Dawn Gray Moraga. Love Take 3 By Brandon Kari. Links to other stories.
