They were recently deemed competent to stand in trial. They are being charged as adults in the case. Generally speaking, attempted murder convicts spend at least 10 years in prison, though they could spend life in prison. These girls are twelve. I pray that the result of all of this for those two girls is a true change of heart. That they will seek th...

In today’s world, this phrase is easily lumped with the phase, I believe in being a good person . What most of us fail to realize is that Christ has given us the ultimate challenge. Who are our enemies? There is a stack right there next to your empty mug! Christ calls us to three things: love, bless and pray for and do good to our enemies...

Clothed with strength and dignity. Women in the Church: Be the Bee. May 16, 2014. Lastly, what I particularly like about the video is the discussion of the fact that “roles in the church” extend SO far beyond those of the ordained clergy. The clergy cannot function if they have no one to minister to! Likewise, the church is not vibrant if individuals do not make use of their time and talent in the myriad of roles that make up the body of the church. Category : Contemporary Issues. Clothed with strength and dignity. Family Study of the Divine Liturgy: The Anaphora. May 19, 2014. The Holy Anaphora is the very core of the Divine Liturgy. This portion of the text is, indeed, the oldest portion of the service which remains unchanged in the Liturgy’s various forms. The Deacon beings: Let us stand aright, let us stand with fear. 8220;let us be attentive, that we may offer the Holy Anaphora in peace”. And the response,. 8220;a mercy of peace a sacrifice of praise”. Lift up your hearts.
