Chickens In My Kitchen: Saturday Saga

http://chickensinmykitchen.blogspot.com/2012/02/saturday-saga.html

Chickens In My Kitchen. The country diary of a not-so-Edwardian Lady. YOU CAN REACH MY CARD MAKING BLOG HERE. Wednesday, 8 February 2012. Well, we have had snow, look:. I don't know what it is about snow that makes Barnaby instantly revert to his two year old self, but there we are. On Saturday John and I were due to attend the Amber Valley Riding Club dinner. They are the people who organise the pleasure rides we've been doing for the past few years. It was still snowing when we came out. I am trying to...

Chickens In My Kitchen: September 2011

Chickens In My Kitchen. The country diary of a not-so-Edwardian Lady. YOU CAN REACH MY CARD MAKING BLOG HERE. Thursday, 22 September 2011. Still busy here, as usual. I have decided to class Thursdays as my day off, as lately the weekends can be busier than some of my week days. Unlike most animals, it's not the male that's the most valuable. You know how you have your stallion or your stud dog? Simon, our field ornament, has settled in very well. He likes Zak. John has been schooling him this evening and...

Chickens In My Kitchen. The country diary of a not-so-Edwardian Lady. YOU CAN REACH MY CARD MAKING BLOG HERE. Monday, 19 December 2011. Hi guys, sorry I haven't posted for absolutely ages. All is well here, but every spare moment is taken up with card making and Christmas shopping. We took the decision to take Simon back, as it was becoming exhausting for me to muck out three stables every day (and time consuming! Now I'm done for 10am and have plenty of time to get all the other jobs done. The bliss of ...

Chickens In My Kitchen: April 2011

Chickens In My Kitchen. The country diary of a not-so-Edwardian Lady. YOU CAN REACH MY CARD MAKING BLOG HERE. Friday, 29 April 2011. Of course, like the majority of people in Britain, I have been sitting in front of my television set nearly all day, to watch the wedding of William and Kate. It was the most beautiful wedding I've ever seen (better than Charles and Diana's in my humble opinion). And of course, the kiss on the balcony. I thought her dress was fabulous (but her bouquet was tiny! I've been in...

Chickens In My Kitchen: August 2011

http://chickensinmykitchen.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html

Chickens In My Kitchen. The country diary of a not-so-Edwardian Lady. YOU CAN REACH MY CARD MAKING BLOG HERE. Tuesday, 30 August 2011. I think August has been the longest month going. I know I am willing it to pass quickly as I have stupidly given myself a monthly craft budget, which John happily agreed to, and which didn't take long to spend! Because I am trying to stick to it, I am desperate for September, so I can buy some more. Then the church was hosting a flower festival. The theme was 'Thankyo...

Beautiful Girl: December 2010

http://beautifulgirl-pony.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html

Many years ago I met a beautiful pony. She was nervous; inquisitive; keen to please.over the years I got to know her better, then one day she became mine. This is the story of her and our day to day life together. She is the beautiful girl. Ice, ice and more ice. Everything seems a little different. Other people's horse tales:. Chickens In My Kitchen. Friday, 24 December 2010. Happy Christmas everyone (if anyone actually reads this), and to all your pets too! Tuesday, 21 December 2010. The ground thawed ...

Horses of Follywoods: August 2015

http://follywoods.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html

Wednesday, August 05, 2015. Summer is upon us full force. That means I am not even trying to ride. Instead, I am swimming every day and since the Lazy River at my pool now allows us to walk inside our tubes, I am walking. Today, I waterwalked for just a bit over and hour and then swam for another half hour. So, short post for now. The lazy hazy days of summer are upon us. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Horses of Follywoods: July 2015

http://follywoods.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html

Monday, July 20, 2015. No, Wait, It's Not. Keeping My Promise Not to Complain. Yes, it's hot. Temperatures are nearly at 100F here in New Jersey. But I swore after the past winter I was not going to complain about the heats. So I'm not complaining. I am just noting that it's hot. The house was relatively comfortable because the AC had been working all night. But here in the country, no electricity means no water. Again, not an issue short term as I have bottled water, but what about the horses? Power was...

Horses of Follywoods: April 2015

http://follywoods.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html

Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Nice Weather, But No Riding. Not too sure why, but I haven't ridden since the last time. Part of it is because the muscle in my hip is hurting. I think I need to see the doctor to find out if that pin is causing a problem. Don't like to think about that as it could require more surgery. On the other hand, I would like to get rid of some of the pain. Not to worry. The Boys are not neglected. The other two Boys are on the chubby side, so it's hard to judge when I make a comparison.

Wednesday, December 31, 2014. To One And All. Saturday, December 27, 2014. S-h-h-h, Don't Say It Too Loudly. I'm Holding My Breath. Nearly two months ago, my vet was out for fall shots. As you may recall, he gave Chance in injection of Osphos, a new drug just released in the US for treating navicular disease. I has be used under the name of Tildrin in Europe for some time with good results. The ground was soft, so I decided to try a couple lunging circles anyhow. On the left. Sound. On the right, Sound.

My Chickens

Saturday, April 23, 2011. April is almost over and Easter is here. Wow! Time sure does fly. And the chicks grew quickly. First they get wing feathers. Then they get little tail feathers. Then the shoulder feathers start coming in and the wings fill in in-between. They were really filling up the box. Look at the tail on that little chick. These birds are so interesting because they are each completely different from the other in color and the way they feathers are marked. They really are the cutest things!

Wednesday, August 22, 2007. Stranger in a Strange Land. We have a couple of new teachers at our school. One who’s name is Mr. Gonzales (not really his name, but I assure you his name is equally stereotypically Hispanic). Picture Mr. Gonzales, will you? Medium height, dark hair, olive skin, dark eyes, sexy Latino accent. NO! Lord, help us. As an aside, this particular teacher seems to be quite successful at winning the respect he deserves from his students - so kudos to him! Sunday, August 19, 2007. I am ...
