Wait, there's eight! Little morsels of our family journey, chronicled as a testimony to God's goodness. Wednesday, March 5, 2014. Haiti Homecoming Day 4. Today was our last day at the beach resort, including a fun-filled morning of sitting as a family in the waves along the shore’s edge, watching the boys play with toys in the sand, and more time in the pool. He grinned ear to ear at me, all his teeth showing. He seemed to really understand! It was as if she was saying, “They are yours now. Her...8221; I...

Wait, there's eight! Little morsels of our family journey, chronicled as a testimony to God's goodness. Wednesday, July 4, 2012. Alone in my kitchen at last! Well, this week my older three kids are in Iowa at Grandma's. I'm hesitant to say it, but "Woo Hoo! And once a month I go pick up my food at a local drop site with other families. Maybe I'll even make some new friends who can help me along in my healthy food journey! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I am a devoted wife and mother of six children who lean...

Wait, there's eight! Little morsels of our family journey, chronicled as a testimony to God's goodness. Wednesday, May 14, 2014. I've been quite silent about our adoption for the two months Davidson and Anderson have been home. Trying to keep our heads above water is a challenge these days, and I'm not even sure I'll get to finish this post. But I can at least start! Overall, the boys have done. This is probably his number one struggle.he wants instant gratification with. This really gets old after a whi...

Wait, there's eight! Little morsels of our family journey, chronicled as a testimony to God's goodness. Friday, June 15, 2012. God, You are higher than any other! There are days that are monotonous, days that are typical. But there are also days that are blessed, and even exhilarating. Today is one of those days! How funny that there is a check lying around my house somewhere from a cousin in the amount of $25, that I misplaced and am trying to find today! I hope this also serves as a confirmation to you...

Live Through The Refiner's Fire: Timeline
http://blessingsinthefire.blogspot.com/p/timeline.html
Live Through The Refiner's Fire. Here's a brief look at the timeline that I have been through. It was an amazing process that can go fairly quickly. PS-MAPP class is 10 weeks long and after my homestudy was completed and turned in I had my temporary license fast. In fact, I had a copy emailed to me and had my first call the next. Actually the phone rang a lot. I currently only have one bedroom so I am limited to 3 children. I also prefer elementary age or below. Call to inquire about PS-MAPP class. 1st -...

A Bushel and a Peck: August 2009
http://abushel-and-apeck-archive.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 28, 2009. Honeybee now has 65 braids in her lovely hair. Hair is very important to my girls and I'm doing my best to learn how to work with it. I've made my share of mistakes and there are too many days when the girls look a little frizzy, or downright messy, but considering I've never been into hair, I feel pretty good about how far I've come. Having the pool closed will help, as will having Honeybee and Dimples sleep in satin caps. Have been a great resource for me. This summer has broug...

Wait, there's eight!: 4 Months Post-Adoption
http://nieuwsmafamily.blogspot.com/2014/07/4-months-post-adoption.html
Wait, there's eight! Little morsels of our family journey, chronicled as a testimony to God's goodness. Tuesday, July 1, 2014. I am happy to say that life is finally settling down a bit around here. Six young children certainly keeps us preoccupied physically, emotionally, and mentally! When people ask us how the boys are adjusting to the adoption, we are continually amazed that we can honestly say they are doing surprisingly well! His favorite food is peanut butter either alone or on a sandwich, and he ...
