November 10, 2004. What Should Hazel Bee for Halloween? Hazel was a busy bee this Halloween, making the seasonal rounds with her friends to Impossible Acres pumpkin patch. To see some baby animals - and pumpkins, of course. She also participated in the Halloween daytime tradition of trick-or-treating in downtown Davis. Paying a special visit to Mother Goose (our pal Nancy)to help hand out candy. Later that night all the little goblins gathered at Nate's house for a super costume party. Trip to Philadelph...

The June Bugs: Marc & Perrin in San Francisco
http://junebugs.monhollen.com/archives/2005/03/08/marc_perrin_in_san_francisco.html
March 08, 2005. Marc and Perrin in San Francisco. Hazel and family received a lucky lay-over visit from Aunt Perrin and Uncle Marc on their way back to Hawaii. It was great to see them and to spend some time in San Francisco, especially at the Exploratorium. Where it was hard to tell who had more fun, Hazel or Marc and Kyle. As always the visit was too short, we wish we could see them all the time but at least we can talk on the phone. Posted by Kyle at March 8, 2005 09:45 AM. Early Spring Odds and Ends.

December 29, 2004. I'm going to get a new sister in a few months. I am very excited, but I don't know what we are going to call her. Do you have any ideas? I think we should name her Curious, but my dad thinks that is corny. Seriously, if you have any suggestions for our new baby's name let us know. In the meantime enjoy her first pictures! Better Than Ice Cream: The Magician's Elephant by Kate DiCamillo
http://lisa.chipouras.com/archives/2009/10/21/the_magicians_elephant_by_kate_dicamillo.html
October 21, 2009. The Magician's Elephant by Kate DiCamillo. I am a big fan of Kate DiCamillo, but this book was not my favorite. While it tidily wrapped everything together at the end of the book, the book itself was rather confusing especially for young children. There are many characters that the book jumps between and none of them truly act like children. This book is more of a short book written for adults rather than a children's book. Better Than Ice Cream: Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen

March 10, 2010. Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen. Auden is a complex character who changes a ton throughout this book. She grows up by having the childhood she never had. This book was not angsty as many chick lit books which I appreciated. I loved this book and couldn't stop reading it. I wanted more when it ended. Posted by Lisa at March 10, 2010 2:55 PM.
