Pain medication and opiate withdrawal. With the closure of several Seattle Pain Clinics, it is important to know the signs of symptoms of opiate withdrawal, as well as appropriate steps to help patients in opiate withdrawal from the emergency department. Below are recommendations from the Washington State Department of Health as well as a table of medications that may be considered from Up To Date (TM).
