You are about to go to bed for the weekend, you forgot to pickup the music you need for class from the store and like every classroom, if you aren’t prepared, your students WILL KNOW. Do you try to copy music from online? Do you share a live performance of an orchestra to the class? You know you can get in trouble for that. February 25, 2016. Money, Money, Money. Some things that we have to deal with in the field of music, is the most outrageous expenses in the field of education. New instrument funds are hard to come by and you cannot play on old instruments forever. There is noting more frustrating than a student breaking an instrument that you don’t have the funds to fix. I agree as a singer that it is important to recognize specific timbres and intervals on instruments and be able to replicate them as closely as possible with the voice. March 7, 2016. You and Your Chamber Ensemble. Many musicians at the high school level and beginning college musicians shake and fear for the thought of playing in a chamber music group. Sure it can be scary, because you are playing a part alone, but that’s the beauty of it. Playing in a chamber group or singing as a chamber group, you are forced to play or sing your part alone with out help from another musician. This will make you much more of an accomplished musician.
