Chris and Lindsey’s Place. We love books, music, technology, going interesting places, walking. Another short walk squeezed in between sunrise and sunset. But at least today was generally brighter, allowing some photos at the beginning of the walk. We parked in Kentmere village and followed the River Kent valley north towards the reservoir. What a beautiful and peaceful walk. No doubt the sprinkling of snow on the tops helped to create a special atmosphere. Our journey began at Kentmere's medieval church.

Our first stop was Lowther Castle, the former home of the Lonsdale family. It's now in ruins although the estate thrives. In thy majestic pile are seen. Cathedral pomp and grace, in apt accord. Sunday, March 27, 2011. Spring Update 2011, Part One. So, I can't believe we are three months into this year already! The beginning of this year has been fine, nothing too exciting to report. Chris has kept busy working and teaching at Mesa State, not to mention he is on his way home right now from a 4 day trip to Vegas for his brother's Bachelor Party. Fun times! It has been an exciting and successful ride so far and I look forward to what God has planned for me in this venture! Hope I can keep up!

Saturday, January 7, 2012. 5 months and counting. Let's talk about our vacations in this post, shall we? In December, we went snow skiing at Copper Mountain, Colorado with my parents and sisters. We had so much fun! Funny how that seemed warm. :-). All in all, both vacations were a success. Next time, I would prefer for them to be more than 10 days apart. They were both much needed and very enjoyable. Can't wait to see what this year has in store for us. Poor Kellan couldn't move! Roaring like a lion!

Last week we enjoyed a programme of French chamber and cantata works performed by Chetham's students at Chetham's Library. The event was delivered in partnership with the Early Music Shop, based in Salt's Mill in Saltaire, and students played stunning harpsicords and cellos as well as a baroque flute. We're already planning a return visit for some more wonderful music and history.

Sunday, June 23, 2013. My parents visited us in Washington. The weather was wetter than we expected, but we still had a lot of fun. We spent a day at Mt Rainier. Thursday, April 4, 2013. We just got back from a Spring Break Vacation. We toured around the Olympic Peninsula and saw some amazing places. Keeping the boys shoes dry was tricky. This thing looked like it could fall down at any second. Some trees are harder to hug than others. No, we didn't take the tour. Lot of running this week.
