The Borrenpohl's: Merry Christmas 2012!
http://billandstacey.blogspot.com/2012/12/merry-christmas-2012.html
Saturday, December 29, 2012. Oh, quite the year that 2012 has been for our family! We are now living at our small farmplace just south of Dubuque, Iowa. Please keep our new address below! Lance is 5 ½ and continues to be one of the more laid-back personalities in the house. He told Bill recently that he wants “milk cows” and to learn to “put metal together” (i.e. weld). I think we have a farm kid in the making! Clayton, recently 9, is in third grade and is fond of math and science. He played football...

We look forward to moving sometime this spring or summer. We thank the Lord for how He orchestrated these plans! 12 Bill has been a Deere employee for over twelve years now! He is enjoying his status as the lone engineer on a small product line (small in terms of volume…not size of product! 9 Bill and I have ...

The Borrenpohl's: working gal
http://billandstacey.blogspot.com/2013/01/working-gal.html
Saturday, January 5, 2013. I'm not sure I ever thought I would own my own set of Carhart bibs. But I do! Honestly, they've been invaluable in helping with chores in the barn, bringing in firewood, and just managing the weather. It's windy out here on the prairie! My hat (also Carhart) is pink at least to help counter the very un-exciting Carhart brown. Posted by Stacey Borrenpohl. Follower of Christ, redeemed by God for His purposes, organizer, teacher, and nurturer.among other things! What I blog about.

The Borrenpohl's: swim lessons
http://billandstacey.blogspot.com/2012/06/swim-lessons.html
Saturday, June 23, 2012. It was another year of swim lessons for our crew! The oldest three were able to participate. Next year all four will be signed up - wow! I enjoyed sharing the lesson time with some other mom friends so the time was enjoyable and provided the chance to reconnect with other moms. I *so* appreciated that (Miss A and Miss J! The fickle Iowa weather also cooperated with only one day being a touch cool. Posted by Stacey Borrenpohl. View my complete profile. Farm Life, May 2012.

The Borrenpohl's: June 2011
http://billandstacey.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 29, 2011. The house on our homestead has been turned over to a nice family of renters. We continue to make trips there to work on the grounds and buildings. It is somewhat odd to be there and glance over at the house that someone else is living in! I took many pictures that will hopefully help during this next year of planning. Posted by Stacey Borrenpohl. Location: Dubuque, IA, USA. Saturday, June 11, 2011. Slippin and Sliding the Day Away! We had a hot spell earlier this week.a few ...

The Borrenpohl's: May 2012
http://billandstacey.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 1, 2012. Farm Construction, Part I begins! It was an exciting day for the Borrenpohl family as construction on the east side addition to our farm house begins. We elected to do the construction in two phases primarily due to keeping the finances from becoming overbearing. Yes, we are Dave Ramsey fans and keep our fiscal conservative tendencies. :). The future laundry, powder room, coat room.oh, and root cellar. Yeah! Footing to re-build the front porch and add some character to this house!

The Borrenpohl's: October 2011
http://billandstacey.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 25, 2011. We yet again had laptop woes in June.it was an ongoing saga for several weeks and SO painful to be without a computer! Somehow that also threw off my blogging schedule. I have been missing the writing outlet though so this week seemed the right time to log in and get back online! Did ya miss me? Posted by Stacey Borrenpohl. My sister, Sally, and I in the Quad Cities before their move to Chattanooga, TN. We'll be down for a visit later this year, Lord willing! Labels: Bill and I.

The Borrenpohl's

Saturday, June 23, 2012. An Iowa sunset over a corn field. Lord willing, I can enjoy this vista for many years to come! It's the "pick up" game! It was an endless exercise to pick up construction debris. The kids quickly learned this wasn't much of a game, but needed to be done nonetheless! The 2nd story window as moved south as you can see above. This is in preparation for the west side addition; the window needed to be moved to accommodate the roof pitch. We have a new porch roof! An Iowa sunset over a...

The Borrenpohl's: October 2012
http://billandstacey.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 25, 2012. I worked hard for these. As much as I *tried* to keep this area watered, it was so hard! There was no water nearby so every watering effort required filling water tubs, hauling the water via wagon, then pouring across all the plants. When we were in the midst of house construction and a myriad of farm projects, watering my young strawberry plants, pumpkins, watermelons, and winter squashes was tough! To see these four little buttercup beauties is so fun! View my complete profi...

The Borrenpohl's: July 2011
http://billandstacey.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 12, 2011. Clayton just finished participating in the Dubuque Little League pee-wee division this year. It certainly was a year for the players to have fun while starting to see a better understanding of the game emerge. He was blessed with a super patient coach who really emphasized the learning and fun aspects of baseball and encouraged improvments in a really positive way. I'm thankful for such patient and generous individuals who donate their time! Posted by Stacey Borrenpohl. Another na...
