Mother’s Day – Their Loss, My Gain. May 12, 2015. Mother’s Day Heart for the Adopted-Fostered. This mother’s day I had the blessing of receiving five carnations at church, one from each of my boys. I remembered the many years when Mother’s day was a painful reminder of my empty home. For the first eight years of my marriage, I wanted children, but couldn’t have any.
