Get Help / Contact Us. Foundation volunteers outside the Flying Cloud Cafe in 2004. When Chrissy passed away in May, 2000 she left a gaping hole in many hearts. Her husband Joe spoke with 'The Girls' - Chrissy's high school girlfriends - about creating a foundation that would eventually be turned over to his daughters when they were old enough to manage it. Over the next year we met many times to console each other, spend time with Chrissy's daughters, and talk about plans for a foundation.

Get Help / Contact Us. Was born and raised in Atlantic City, NJ. She was raised with her four siblings under the loving care of her parents Mary and Jim Ruane. Termination of the pregnancy was suggested but never given a second thought by Chrissy. That was an unacceptable solution. She waited for the baby to develop to a certain point before she began chemotherapy. The pregnancy was able to come to full term and Erin Mary Rush was born on May 21, 1998. Sadly, Chrissy died on May 28, 2000.
