Saturday, February 11, 2012. We recently returned from a fantastic trip to Mexico 'sans' kids. We really missed the kids, and they missed us, but it was so nice to retreat to a resort with warm sun, all-inclusive, and with no responsibilities. This is what it must have been like before we had kids, if I could remember that far back. Our building was three stories and we were on the top floor. We spent a lot of time by the pool. And some on the beach. We had some lovely dinners out. And saw some wildlife.

Rain, Rain, Go Away. Sunday, June 10, 2012. The last week of May was particularly wet around here. I couldn't ride my bike much, but the flowers in my garden were very happy. We Threw a Baby Shower! Sunday, April 15, 2012. Sheila and I threw a baby shower on March 24th for my sister-in-law, Anne Marie. My mom did most of the work, and it was so much fun. Sunday, July 1, 2012. It is so much fun to see my nephew. He's 2 months old today (already! And I got to take some family photos of him and his parents last weekend in my back yard. Tuesday, November 29, 2011. I am so loving the new show New Girl. Makes me laugh every time. Zooey Deschanel's character, Jess is hilarious, and Zooey is an amazing actress. I follow her on Twitter and she is adorable. @ZooeyDeschanel. I even want Jess glasses. As I may mentioned before, I buy a new Christmas CD every year, and I'm listening to Zooey sing The Christmas Waltz with She and Him. Right now to decide if their CD is a contender. Mexico, Part II. Tuesday, February 14, 2012. I had shirts made for everyone that said "Mexico or Bust" on the front. This is the back of the guys' shirts. We were in the golf cart on our way to the hotel room and we were pretty pleased to be starting our week of vacation. We got to our room and had a nice view of the resort and the ocean. What are you doing New Year's Eve? Saturday, December 31, 2011. It's new year's eve. I can hardly believe it is almost 2012. I visited a friend this morning, then had lunch and a nice, long nap. We took the dead Christmas tree out the front door and I'm sure I didn't miss a single needle with the vacuum cleaner. I'm on day 6 of a refined sugar fast and I'm feeling just a teensy. Introducing My New Nephew! Sunday, May 20, 2012. My first nephew was born on May 1st, to my brother Tyler, and his wife Anne Marie. He is an adorable baby and they are over the moon.
