http://christinehemphill.blogspot.com/2012/09/embrun-true-endurance-race.html
Three times the fun in the French Alps. Tuesday, September 4, 2012. Embrun, a true enDURance race. On the bike course at Embrun. Tr è. The only flat bit, the swim commences at 5:50am for the women and 6:00am for the men who obviously needed a few more minutes of beauty sleep! On the first major descent back to the lake. Even bike racking is a bit bizarre. Near the top of the Izoard and still enjoying the ride. The high desert on Col d'Izoard. A hot ride back to Embrun into a headwind. Anyway I was still ...

http://christinehemphill.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Three times the fun in the French Alps. Monday, March 26, 2012. Why race as a pro? A long road to get here, and do it justice as a professional. I have now had the good fortune to race as a full professional without the demands of a corporate career for 18 months now (it’s OK, I didn’t ditch the kids along with the job! Why Tri", which described why I train and race triathlon. It is still true and relevant to me. Http:/ christinehemphill.blogspot.com/2011/03/why-tri-why-not.html. A few weeks ago I. Very ...

Jedi Space: February 2011
http://jedispace.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Adventures into the unknown. Monday, February 7, 2011. So the Jedi theme is changing for today, Jedi Jackson has transformed into a medieval regal entity for the day. So, may I introduce to you to Le Roi d'Orange. He is the King of Oranges because, well, he loves oranges. They are his favourite fruit and he eats at least one and often two or three each day. So over to the the king himself. Drumroll please. Start up the fanfare! The Knights of Tonbridge Castle. The hill that William fought up in 1066.
Jedi Space: March 2011
http://jedispace.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Adventures into the unknown. Sunday, March 13, 2011. Jedi Liam is a bit like Annekin as a boy. We recently got Star Wars No 1, The Phantom Menace for the boys which shows Annekin making a Pod racer from spare parts on his home planet Tatoine. They have only watched it 5 or 6 times so far! Liam is also great at making things. Today he has made a really cool ship with Lego for inter galactic battles and transport. Favourite things of the past month or so from Liam's perspective;. Skiing in Grand Bornand.

Adventures into the unknown. Monday, April 25, 2011. Our first winter in the Alps. Winter is over. The cows are coming back into the pastures that were the ski fields and the cols are now all open for Mum and Dad to enjoy cycling over. Luckily the main resorts 4k either side of our village with 130 lifts between them (going up to 2,600m alt.) still offered good or at least decent snow from late November until a few weeks ago. Skinny ski fun at Confins. Alpine skiing with Mum, Dad and Jackson at La Balme ...
