August 18, 2015. Paulina dug some potatoes for the stews we made tonight and I pulled out a few carrots. This is what they looked like. I am afraid that I took the largest ones, so we will have to let the rest grow a little longer before we pull any more. Potatoes and tomatoes we picked today. As I mentioned on my lucindalines site just a few minutes ago, we were away from the garden for three days at the end of July, and the wind and the heat took advantage of our absence. The cucumbers that I picked this morning showed signs of no water stress. I grabbed the hose and ran it for nearly half an hour in the cucumbers, zucchini and the marigolds. A week ago today Sloane dislocated her knee (three times), chipped her patella, tore at least one ligament, and who knows what else.
