Fotorecord: Sonia and Vivek's Wedding
http://christopherrecord.blogspot.com/2008/09/sonia-and-viveks-wedding.html
Thursday, September 4, 2008. Sonia and Vivek's Wedding. Sonia and Vivek are modern and sophisticated professionals. But they are also proud of their heritage as they proved in their magnificent Punjabi Hindu Wedding Ceremony in Charlotte Sunday. I hadn't had the opportunity to photograph an Indian wedding, but I knew my 20-plus years as a photojournalist had prepared me for just about anything. Virtually the same team of vendors, planner Samantha Slapnik of Emma Grace Designs. Eric Weiner from The Westin.

Wednesday, January 30, 2008. Watching all of the hype and hoopla in Phoenix leading up to Sunday's Super Bowl XLII. Got me thinking back to my own Super Bowl experiences. I have friends who work for agencies like Getty. And magazines like The Sporting News. Who photograph the Super Bowl almost every year. But covering a team for a local paper meant you would usually only get to go if your team did. I had covered the NCAA Final Four. In basketball as well as many other big events like the U.S. Open. My di...

Wednesday, October 31, 2007. Big Day in Davidson. Following a packed wedding schedule in October, Saturday was a nice change of pace as I documented the inauguration of Thomas Ross. As the 17th president of Davidson College. I always enjoy working with Davidson's Bill Giduz. And it was nice to get the opportunity to work with Leslie Marsicano. Who organized the entire event. I did a portrait of Ross some time back and he is incredibly personable. Is sworn in as his wife, Susan. Monday, October 22, 2007.

Life is like a taxi. The meter just keeps a-ticking whether you are getting somewhere or just standing still." Here are some stories where the meter keeps ticking.and ticking.and ticking. Sweet Tombstones.and a BRUSH WITH MARTHA! First, here are the tombstones, or headstones, for Halloween. These were fun to make. I don't know if you can tell, but the flowers are supposed to be wilted like an old neglected grave. I used AmeriColor Gourmet Writers (food coloring pens) to write the names. For the couple wh...

Thursday, March 29, 2007. It's all gone.well, mostly. I was in Chapel Hill Saturday shooting an engagement session. It was almost 90 degrees in March. My hair was seriously hot and sweaty and the only option was the dreaded ponytail! After growing my hair for the last three years, I decided that I was due for a major change! So, it's all gone! Well, mostly anyway. I lost some major inches, especially with the top layers. I had dinner with my friend and fellow photographer, Corey Cagle. I hate to be a tea...
