http://wwwfootstepsofanangler.blogspot.com/2013/04/scratching-amongst-catkins.html

Footsteps of an Angler. Thankyou for taking the time view my mutterings. We sit on cowslip banks, hear the birds sing, and possess ourselves in as much quietness as these silent silver streams, which we now see glide so quietly by us". Thursday, 7 February 2013. Earlier in the week my new pin arrived so I was gagging to get out and give it a go on the float and maggot. But as a back up the tip rod ventured out with me just in case the conditions were not suitable for the float attack. The first swim I ch...

I thought a photo might help explain the simple helicopter rig I was using for the dace and roach. Hooklink to the left, mainline (6lb) to the right, and feeder link (5lb) to the bottom. The feeder link is shorter than the hooklink, but all lengths open to modification. Easy peasy heli-feeder rig. Posted by Dave @ 11:11 AM. Wednesday, August 26, 2009. All purpose barbel rig. And a size 8 Power Swivel.

The part that screws into the camera's base is also less likely to be lost as it is captive in the channel of the bracket. I've slipped some aquarium tube over the ends of the posts to stop them slipping out in transit. The only thing to watch out for is a thumbscrew working loose and getting lost. Camera attached to bracket and tripod quick-release plate. More on self-takes here. Self timers are o...

Those are some of the terms (along with dosser and curmudgeon) used about me by Alan Barnes in the interview he wrote up for The Angling Star - a Sheffield based monthly angling paper. It made me titter. No such thing as bad publicity! Posted by Dave @ 10:44 AM. Friday, January 22, 2010. In search of fishable water. That left today for an afternoon's ja...
