Lonesome Dove: GRANDCHILD VS GRANDPARENT
http://patfixer.blogspot.com/2010/09/grandchild-vs-grandparent.html
Sunday, September 12, 2010. What made me think that grandchildren should respect their Grandparents? I guess I came from the old school of manners. When the grandparent can't correct the child or the child decides he can just mouth off to the grandparent, shocks me. He is not a kid, cause he is over 18. Well maybe I'm wrong, but I was brought up to respect my elders, even if I didn't like what was said. In todays society they can mouth off and get away with it, and it seems quite all right. The progeny h...

paulettevanh: August 2007
http://paulettevanh.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 22, 2007. Party in New York. We all traveled to Rome, N.Y. for Melody's wedding. All my children, grand-children and great-grandchildren were in attendance. But we only got one picture of all of us together. I am very happy that we got at least that one. We were able to do a casino trip at Turning Stone Casino on Friday afternoon while the younger set took the youngest set to the zoo. As much as I love travelling and being with my whole family, you still can't beat home sweet home.

Sean - Staying Upbeat and Positive: September 2011
http://seanwanmickymomo.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Sean - Staying Upbeat and Positive. Sunday, September 04, 2011. Day 2 - Fried Green Tomatoes. I had never seen the movie or read the book, so I was viewing everything for the first time. Of course I had heard of the movie, which is now 20 years old, but just had never gotten around to seeing it. Having the opportunity to see the place it was filmed sounded interesting to me, since I had never been on a movie set, current or prior. Once the main dishes came out, we were ready to chow down. My mom was ...

Sean - Staying Upbeat and Positive: Day 5 - Part 1: White Water Rafting
http://seanwanmickymomo.blogspot.com/2012/08/day-5-part-1-white-water-rafting.html
Sean - Staying Upbeat and Positive. Sunday, August 19, 2012. Day 5 - Part 1: White Water Rafting. We got on the road to find an outfitter for the rafting and zip lining. Uncle Duane had looked one up on-line and programmed the address into his GPS, but somehow the GPS got it wrong and was sending us in the wrong direction! If you guessed me, you would be right! I decided it would be a good idea to do the ice cream after all the events, so we'll get back to that later. Keeping in mind that there is really...

Sean - Staying Upbeat and Positive: October 2010
http://seanwanmickymomo.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Sean - Staying Upbeat and Positive. Thursday, October 07, 2010. Many years and many more digressions ago, Kathy posted about "The Paradoxical Commandments" by Dr. Kent M. Keith on her blog. I can't remember when it was or even what the title of the blog post was, but maybe she can enlighten us with a comment later. Now if that doesn't speak volumes, I don't know what does. Is it easy to do? You can find the whole selection from "The Paradoxical Commandments". Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

paulettevanh: Night Shift
http://paulettevanh.blogspot.com/2007/12/night-shift.html
Wednesday, December 26, 2007. Mom has had another busy day but she is still in the same physical place. A few doctors talked about her moving to another floor today, and Adrienne had her all packed up and ready to go at about 11am, but I am here now (7:30pm) and we are still packed and ready to go. The surgeon has still not come down so we are still not sure about the cultures that were taken from her shoulder. But her white count is way down (around 9 last time I heard) so that is very good news.

paulettevanh: Merry Christmas to All
http://paulettevanh.blogspot.com/2007/12/merry-christmas-to-all.html
Tuesday, December 25, 2007. Merry Christmas to All. We just had a very nice Christmas. Well, as nice as can be expected huddled around a hospital bed. The hospital actually had free meals in the cafeteria today, which was really nice since nothing else is open. I went home to sleep at around 10am and came back around 5:30pm. Mom was eating her dinner (she had some bites of roast beef, green beans, and mashed potatoes- yay. It has been a slow medical day since it is Christmas. I think Dr. Soo. When it see...

paulettevanh: The first to admit it
http://paulettevanh.blogspot.com/2007/12/first-to-admit-it.html
Friday, December 28, 2007. The first to admit it. When Im wrong, Im wrong. And in this case I am ok being wrong. Once I got mommy back to sleep, she has been soundly doing so for about 3 hours now. We even turned, cleaned and got her vital signs without waking her up. Good thing? I don't know. I am going to look in to her pain medication dosages in the morning, but for now, sleep, sleep, sleep.
