Pumping is a side effect of loud transients (e.g. dishes clattering) causing other concurrent continuous sounds to vary in volume. It is really only a minor annoyance when AGC is ON. In the 2 weeks since my last appointment I had steadily increased the volume level to nearly the 3 o'clock position on the dial, so it was time for more adjustments. My take on the cochlear implant process. Sunday, December 2, 2007. 3 Days Post Surgery. I was surprised it will happen so soon. My activation appointment is set for Monday, Dec. 10th, with a follow up mapping the next day. I think there is some very slight drainage from the eustachian tube on the implant side. Not bloody. Tastes salty. Do any of you implantees recall having that? You are so lucky to live close to the Ci Center. We're 3 hours from ours and it really sucks. Sun Dec 02, 04:10:00 PM PST.

My take on the cochlear implant process. Thursday, September 3, 2009. Finding a bike helmet. I wanted to start riding my mountain bike again. One thing had been holding me back - my old helmet would not work with my CI. The external headpiece is in a location on my head right where just about all bike helmets have a strap assembly. I could not come up with any way to modify this area without compromising the helmet's function and safety. Asonable for a bike helmet. Transition helmet on foxracing.com.
