Edmunston to Ormocto | Ciarán's Blog
https://ciarancg.wordpress.com/2012/08/11/edmunston-to-ormocto
Cycling across Canada one kilometer at a time. To be a Kiwi. August 11, 2012. Edmunston to Perth-Andover 125 km. About as big of a creek as we could ever cross with our bikes. We took an extended lunch brake but biked non stop in the afternoon. The hills went on to get slightly more intense and after being splashed by some rain we decided to find the nearest field and set up camp. We were in some long wet grass but we were satisfied. Another day down! World’s longest covered bridge. Oromocto to PEI →.

Cycling across Canada one kilometer at a time. To be a Kiwi. The last leg: PEI to Halifax. August 26, 2012. PEI to Truro 155 km. Nearing the ferry and that red PEI dirt. As we hadn’t yet committed to going all the way to Truro this day, having a place to stay made that decision to push farther very easy. The last province, number 9! Going fast never gets boring. Sweet set up after giving just over 24 hours of notice. Truro to Falls Lake 70 km. We had come so far! The Last day: Into Halifax 50 km. For 8 d...

Cycling across Canada one kilometer at a time. To be a Kiwi. The next adventure: Explore. July 1, 2012. Explore, here I come. About 8 months ago I signed up for something called Explore at the University of Trois Rivieres in Quebec. Recently I was taken from the wait list and given a placement. It is an amazing opportunity and one that I could not pass up even on this amazing bike trip. Coady and I biked ahead to Thunder Bay so that I could catch a bus and get ahead for my Explore program. This post is a...

A Group of Young Canadians Dreaming to Travel the Country by Bicycle. May 30, 2012. Somehow this trip is already coming to a close. It’s difficult to keep up to date with blogs (and keeping in contact sorry friends) when my life is so focused on traveling, finding food, and setting up camp. Things have really flown by, and I’m now in that awkward place where I don’t want to be done but I’m also anxious to start the next exciting thing that is clearly in sight. I don’t know how to recap everything that’s ...

A Group of Young Canadians Dreaming to Travel the Country by Bicycle. May 31, 2012. I began this trip with some fears and insecurities that have melted away as we cruised through BC, ahead of schedule might I add. British Columbia was so breathtaking. The vast wilderness I experienced left a lingering desire and pull to head North. An idea I’ve recently been entertaining and imagining in great detail. An awesome indoor climbing gym in Canmore. It was hard to leave. The ladies at Communitea. Were full of ...
