Guilded Purls: October 2005

Saturday, October 29, 2005. Nina's is a cute little yarn shop in a newly-trendy little neighborhood (Wicker Park) of Chicago. There's a sort of "hip-knitter" vibe to the store and the inside is quite lovely -sort of Zen. Wanna go check it out? I know THIS is a long shot, but if we wanted to go on a Monday, I'd be in Chicago anyway and could meet up with people at the shop. Then I could help drive people home. Let me know what you want to do. Posted by Andrea Rusin at 5:31 AM. Thursday, October 27, 2005.

It sounds remarkably like the reasoning one hears at a Friday night Yarn Geeks ;). 1 It insulates the cupboard where it is kept. 2 It keeps the economy moving. It is my patriotic duty to support. Woolfarmers, textile mills, and yarn shops. 3 It is less expensive and more fun than psychiatric care. (my personal reasoning, most of the time). 6 Because I'm worth it. Http:/...
