The Hillipines: Rosetta Stoned
http://hillippines.blogspot.com/2008/08/rosetta-stoned.html
Friday, August 22, 2008. A lot has happened the last couple weeks, so I'll try to give a brief(ish) run-down of everything. I met the other 68 Peace Corps Philippines volunteers in LA a week and a half ago (already feels like a lifetime). We spent 2 days playing ice-breakers (almost wanted to quit right then and there) before finally getting on a plane to Manila. Here are some things I've learned so far:. 1) There is no one within 10 years of me age-wise in either direction. Anyway, we split up into 3 sm...

Middle of the Melon: how it goes
http://middleofthemelon.blogspot.com/2009/10/how-it-goes.html
Monday, October 12, 2009. G told me that he still checks my blog every couple weeks. Guess what. I also check my blog every now and then, read up on old crushes or smaller stories. I do plan on writing more regularly again. So come back. Life is starting to stabilize, or at least the landscape is starting to become familiar. I am starting to recognize the new things in my life like they are the old regulars. Its a pretty good feeling. Have a party for no apparent reason. Go to the pool. Go to a Water Park.

Middle of the Melon: August 2008
http://middleofthemelon.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 23, 2008. Whilst i do not have it in me to write. The art of losing isn't hard to master;. So many things seem filled with the intent. To be lost that their loss is no disaster. Lose something every day. Accept the fluster. Of lost door keys, the hour badly spent. The art of losing isn't hard to master. Then practice losing farther, losing faster:. Places, and names, and where it was you meant. To travel. None of these will bring disaster. I lost my mother's watch. And look! My last, or.

Middle of the Melon: the fire caught fire
http://middleofthemelon.blogspot.com/2009/10/fire-caught-fire.html
Wednesday, October 14, 2009. The fire caught fire. A few months ago a friend got me addicted to the Village Voice Horoscopes. They are a good read. I look at horoscopes this way. They are not some sort of mystical guide for my life, it is however refreshing to consider your thoughts from a different perspective and sometimes taking these sidelong glances at your life from the VV Horoscopic standpoint can be if not revelatory, at least somewhat entertaining. In a kind of absurd vaudevillian way.
