An Alumna in the Mirror →. January 2, 2013 · 11:45 AM. By Selina Rios, Program Manager. In 2012 we saw plenty of ups and downs as a site, an organization, a city and even as a nation. We saw the worst in people, but we also got to see the good. The Costa Concordia wrecked and 11 people died. But the outrage of the public at the event means that hopefully nothing like this will happen in 2013. Tragically, we saw Lebron get a ring, defeating the young Oklahoma Thunder. For us in Cleveland, #enoughsaid.

Friday, March 21, 2014. SEM imaging practice and fun! I found a lot of cool samples in the SEM lab room. This is a wasp abdomen and the widest angle possible. The abdomen was coated in gold to improve the imaging. Certain material absorbs or radiates the electrons poorly, so they are coated with a gold mist. I really don't understand how you can coat something so delicately! In the background of this picture you can see a bug leg. Again this is as wide as the SEM can go. Posted by Sinclair Johnston.

A Ripple of Tradition. Opening Day 2013 →. April 9, 2013 · 10:58 AM. By Taina Casimir, CM-Franklin D. Roosevelt Elementary. I LOVE READING. Today, my kids did, too! I’m a tutor/mentor in the 6th grade. Things often go awry. Kids get moody, or distracted, or are just disinterested. I try not to come in with my hopes too. High because they rarely focus as much as you’d like, or get as far as you know they can but todaytoday they astounded me! In line. Not a single cat fight broke out. IT WORKED! They didn’...
