A Blog of Half Fullness. However, it has made me think. Is age really just a number as I have always claimed, or does the fact that next year I’ll be rounding up to the next decade bother me at all? How do you feel? For me, rounding up to 40 is exciting. I can’t wait. I’m hoping then that I look as fabulous as some of my 40 something friends. And I’m hoping it will finally mean I feel grown up. A Blog of Half Fullness. Archive for September, 2009. And so I have no theme, and that could prove to be dangerous; very dangerous. So rather than just blather on or go off at a tangent, I will say simply this: I wanted to write on Wednesday, and write on Wednesday I have. It’s not much, it’s not interesting, I grant you. It is, however, writing. And it’s Wednesday. Does exactly what it says on the tin. September 30, 2009. Categories: Musings, Ponderings and Rantings. Five Books Everyone Should Read.

A Blog of Half Fullness. Archive for November, 2009. I’m feeling quite warm and sentimental, and I just wanted to share the love! I’ve never been a stuff person. Material things just don’t get me that excited if I’m being honest. But people, and feelings, and all that wussy stuff, that’s what makes me smile, and what I value most. Sadly, they’re also the things that often require time, and gosh, that’s so hard to find. And the lovely Hull clan (one of whom is just too hunky and tall these days! The early...

A Blog of Half Fullness. Archive for March, 2010. Return of The Blogenge! May I propose the return of The Blogenge? I would like to get the Blogenge wheel turning once again, and would like to challenge all Blogenge competitors…oops, I mean contributors… (Freudian slip there) to seek out new members of our happy little band. May I propose a first topic of ‘The Best of the Mr Men is…’ as our starter for ten, and let’s see how we do, with a posting deadline of Wednesday 14th April? March 31, 2010. For me, ...

A Blog of Half Fullness. Archive for August, 2009. Round Three has been announced in the increasingly exciting Blogenge, courtesy of my lovely husband (who cannot be persuaded to join in but likes to heckle whilst I’m trying to write! So this week, the theme involves casting an autobiographical film of my life, and picking the actors who will play me, my love interest, my best friend, my enemy and my parents. Given as the outcome of Round Two by Mister Mush. Go and buy your popcorn, and watch this space!

Celebrity Dinner Party | A Blog of Half Fullness

A Blog of Half Fullness. What makes a good dinner party? Well for me, it is a mix of delicious food, good wine, great music, interesting conversation and lots and lots of laughter. If I’m being honest, though, the quality of the food and wine are not that important: if the company is spot on, then that can turn quite an ordinary meal into something really special. This week’s Blogenge is ‘If you hosted a celebrity dinner party, who would you invite? Coincidentally, Julie Walters would also receive an inv...

A Blog of Half Fullness. Walk before you can run…or cycle… or swim…. So, somewhere in my fitness quest, during my gentle reintroduction to running (which began on Sunday, and in terms of time and distance, was very short), a random thought entered my head. A voice in my head said ‘Why don’t you do have a bash at a triathlon? 8217; It was a very stupid voice, with no common sense, and it sounded like it came from person with a non-sensical, inexplicable need to do projects and new things. Yep, me. I’...
